Support and training
Care Assistants are supported from the beginning to ensure they are able to deliver the very best quality of care to all our clients.

Recruitment Process
We interview prospective employees to assess their suitability for our available vacancies and carry out background checks to ensure our quality standards are met.

We are legally required to obtain information about prospective employees' criminal records history through The Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme, so if you have certain types of criminal convictions, you may not be able to carry out this type of work. All our new staff will attend training before they start working independently with our clients. This includes some time of shadowing one of our team  and working with other, more experienced care staff. We invest in our workforce and make continuous training, learning and personal development our priority.

To work with Edinburgh Homecare it is essential that you have a genuine care for others, good communication skills and the ability to understand what each of the roles entails.  Care experience is useful but not always necessary as we provide full training.

Having access to transport and flexible availability is also advantageous. We offer excellent rates, flexibility, training and all the support you need to fulfill your role.
